Unlike conventional pipes that have built-in threads, this specialized tube is manufactured --through cold-drawing technology and primarily serves motor housing sections requiring threaded connections (such as API threads).

The core function is to provide a robust, sealed, and efficient protective casing for the core --motor --of an electric submersible pump (ESP). Operating at depths of thousands of meters underground, the motor endures extreme challenges including high temperatures, high pressure, and corrosive fluids such as oil, gas, water, and hydrogen sulfide.
