Description
The CK45 Hard Chrome Plated Piston Rod is a high-performance component designed for hydraulic cylinder applications, offering durability, corrosion resistance, and reliable operation under demanding conditions. Made from CK45 steel-a medium carbon steel grade equivalent to AISI 1045-this piston rod combines excellent mechanical properties with a superior surface finish.
The rod undergoes a hard chrome plating process, resulting in a chrome layer with a minimum thickness of 20 microns and a hardness exceeding 800 HV. This enhances wear resistance and provides protection against corrosion. The surface roughness is maintained at Ra ≤ 0.2 μm, ensuring smooth operation and reducing friction. Dimensional accuracy is guaranteed with an ISO f7 tolerance, roundness within 50% of diameter tolerance, and straightness limited to 0.2 mm per meter.
CK45 material offers a tensile strength of at least 580 MPa and a yield strength of 350 MPa, with elongation over 15%, providing good toughness and fatigue resistance. Supply options include hard chrome plating, quenching and tempering, induction hardening, or combined treatments, making it adaptable to various industrial requirements.
These piston rods are typically supplied in lengths up to 9 meters, with diameters ranging from 40 mm to 320 mm. Each rod is coated with anti-rust oil and packaged in paper and wooden cases to ensure protection during storage and transportation.
