A: The main difference lies in the processing method and production efficiency, though both achieve high-precision inner surfaces for hydraulic cylinders.

Honed Tube: Produced by honing stones (abrasive sticks) that rotate and move reciprocally inside the tube. It removes material slowly, offers excellent geometry control, and can correct inconsistencies in wall thickness.

SRB Tube (Skived & Roller Burnished): Produced by a combined tool that skives (cuts) the inner surface first and then roller-burnishes it. It compresses the metal surface to increase hardness and fatigue life. SRB is much faster for mass production but has stricter requirements on the raw material's initial straightness.

Both methods achieve a mirror-like finish and meet ISO H8/H7 tolerances. We supply both based on your specific application and volume.

A: As a precision manufacturer, our standard ID tolerance for E355 and ST52 tubes is ISO H8. For high-end applications requiring even tighter precision, we can comfortably achieve ISO H7. Each batch undergoes 100% inspection with inner micrometer gauges before packing to ensure strict alignment with your technical drawings.

We can supply lengths up to 9 meters, 12 meters, or customized random lengths depending on the outer/inner diameter specifications. For long tubes, we pay extra attention to straightness control < 0.5/1000 and use reinforced seaworthy wooden cases to prevent any bending or damage during sea transit.
